**Location**: [Maputo Drainage Project - Maputo, Mozambique] Are you a highly skilled and experienced mechanic with a zeal for leadership and strategic planning? We're looking for a **Mechanical Workshop Coordinator** to oversee our on-site mechanical workshop, ensuring the optimal performance and readiness of our heavy machinery. Reporting directly to the Country Fleet Manager, you'll be in charge of maintaining our fleet of excavators, trucks, forklifts, and other essential construction vehicles. **Your Responsibilities**:
As our Mechanical Workshop Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our operations, managing a dynamic workshop environment. Your key responsibilities will include: - **Spare Parts Management**: Accurately determine the quantity of necessary spare parts, manage orders, maintain optimal stock levels, and conduct thorough inventories to ensure parts availability.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and auto electricians, overseeing all maintenance and repair interventions.
- **Resource Planning**: Assess and determine the necessary number and quality of resources required to efficiently manage the workshop.
- **Diagnostics & Overhauls**: Utilize your expertise in vehicle diagnostics and overhauls to ensure our machinery is always in top condition.
- **Inventory Control**: Take full responsibility for the ordering, warehousing, and inventory of all spare parts for our fleet.
- **Documentation & Compliance**: Ensure all vehicle documentation, including registration and inspection certificates, is up-to-date and compliant.
- **Hands-On Expertise (A Plus)**:



If needed, perform the most delicate mechanical interventions, such as complex inspections and diagnoses. **What You Bring**:
You are essentially a highly evolved mechanic with a strong background in heavy machinery and a proven ability to manage. We're looking for someone who possesses: - Extensive experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy construction equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage spare parts, inventory, and supply chains.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing a team of technicians.
- Strong diagnostic capabilities for a wide range of mechanical vehicles.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially concerning documentation.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
