Job Title: Junior Site Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer (Extra-curricular Intern)
Job Location: Milan (Italy)
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Coordination: Assist in supervising preventive and corrective maintenance for critical site infrastructure, including:
- HVAC: Precision air conditioning and cooling systems.
- Power Systems: Low/Medium voltage panels, UPS, 48V DC power stations, and transformer substations.
- Safety & Protection: Grounding systems, lightning protection, and fire suppression systems.
- Emergency Power: Fixed and mobile diesel generators.
- Technical Support: Provide remote troubleshooting support for Power and Cooling issues to field technicians, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Site Monitoring: Utilize remote plant monitoring systems to track performance and identify potential failures before they impact service.
- Vendor Management: Monitor the progress of on-site operations by subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with technical designs and quality standards.
- Reporting:
Detect and report constraints during work execution; follow up on technical issues until final resolution and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Fresh Graduate or Current student enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related technical field. The graduation date should ideally be approximately 6-12 months before or after the internship start date.
- Foundational understanding of power supply, cooling systems, and electrical/structural calculations.
- Proficient in technical documentation and standard engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage cross-project tasks and stakeholder needs. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Language Requirements: Good command of English and fluent in Italian.
