Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Marcallo con Casone for a Full Stack Python/NextJS Open Source Contributor. The contributor will design, build, and maintain core product features across the backend (Python) and frontend (Next.js/React), ensuring a seamless, high-performance user experience in an AI-powered knowledge environment. Day-to-day work includes implementing APIs, integrating AI services,



optimizing data structures for local-first storage, and improving Markdown-based content workflows. The role also involves reviewing and contributing to open-source code, writing tests, documenting changes, and collaborating with a small, focused team on product direction and technical architecture. The contributor is expected to actively participate in issue triage, pull request reviews, and community discussions to help grow Nodum’s open-source ecosystem.
Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, including building APIs and working with modern web frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Next.js and React for frontend development, focusing on responsive interfaces and performance optimization.
Comfort working with Markdown-based content, file-based storage, and local-first or offline-capable application patterns.
