- Qualified female applicants and qualified applicants from developing countries are particularly encouraged to apply._ KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES With growing humanitarian needs far outpacing increases in funding, better planning and strong risk management and compliance are critical elements to improve WFP’s efficiency and ability to operate in an environment with frequent supply chain disruptions. The Supply Chain & Delivery (SCD) Compliance and Oversight unit in headquarters (HQ) is an independent, objective assurance provider designed to add value and strengthen SCD operations. Under the direct supervision of a more senior officer in the unit, the SCD Compliance & Oversight Officer is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, operating procedures, and controls within the division. The position will be responsible for providing oversight, guidance, and support to the division's various services on audit planning and reviews, risk register updates and the business continuity planning project in HQ. They will track, among others, the implementation of audit recommendations and update management on the best way forward to ensure the timely closure of audit observations, working closely the Risk and Compliance team leads, Chiefs and other cross-departmental teams. Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
Internal and external Audit,
evaluation, and other oversight and advisory bodies coordination and monitoring, overseeing and monitoring the audit reviews, including managing document requests, schedules, and recommendations, reviewing reports, circulating final findings, updating databases, and tracking the recommendations, closure of open actions, providing regular status reports, and ensuring timely follow-ups on outstanding audit items.
- Coordinate and develop risk workshops and risk registers in coordination with the key risk and assurance stakeholders and draft, review, finalize and submit final risk register and related products for the SCD Division, monitoring, updating, and refreshing the risk documentation regularly and as needed.
- Management and coordination of advisory and corporate bodies and the implementation of corporate projects, exercises and initiatives on assurance, risk management, compliance, oversight and internal control.
- Administration, coordination and management of the Annual Performance Planning, Corporate Results Framework, Key Performance Indicators, Annual Performance Review and related exercises for the SCD division, integrating financial and risk insights into supply chain strategies, driving cross-functional coordination and performing quarterly monitoring and reporting.
- Compliance Support: Contribute to corporate initiatives and corporate compliance desk reviews, risk management, inter-divisional working groups and provide expert’s view on various business processes, corporate policies, frameworks, and directives, as required.
