Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher/Guide Position: T Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher/Guide (Grades 1-3)

Montessori School of Rome is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Lower Elementary Assistant Guide to support a thriving classroom community and help students develop independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
What You'll Do Support the Lead Guide in implementing Montessori lessons and maintaining a prepared learning environment.
Build positive, respectful relationships with students and guide them with patience, consistency, and encouragement.
Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom that fosters independence and collaboration.
Assist students as they work independently and in small groups while encouraging responsibility and problem-solving.
Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student's academic, social, and emotional growth.
Assist with classroom routines, materials preparation,



record keeping, and daily operations.
Supervise students during transitions, outdoor play, lunch, and other school activities as needed.
Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities as requested.
Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
