Join CAE's Simulator Technician team based in Rome, Italy, working on advanced flight simulation technology. This role offers exposure to a wide range of modern simulators, systems, and equipment, providing opportunities for learning, development, and progression within the technical function.
This position operates on a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts) and includes a shift allowance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems.
Learn and perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on simulator systems.
Use the Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities.
Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on all simulators.
Run Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures.
Complete required training activities.
Perform basic visual system tasks, including visual alignment.
Assist with refurbishment activities and hardware modifications.
Learn and comply with the CAE Compliance Management System.
Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
Perform logistics duties including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain simulator conditions.
Complete administrative tasks as required.
Support the technical services group as needed.
Comply with Health and Safety regulations in an aviation training environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace/Aviation, or Computer Engineering, or at least 1 year of relevant experience in a technical field.
