/p h3Job Description /h3 pThe Engineering Manager represents the technical foundation of Enfinity's development activities, playing a critical role in transforming early?stage opportunities into technically robust, bankable, and construction?ready projects.
The Engineering Manager leads the Development Engineering function and acts as the key technical interface between the Development team and PVI, Enfinity's external engineering partner.
/p pThe role ensures that development requirements are effectively translated into clear and comprehensive engineering scopes, securing timely, high?quality deliverables that align with Enfinity's standards.
Engineering assumptions defined during this phase feed directly into financial models—including CAPEX, P50/P90 estimates, losses, and availability— and lay the groundwork for subsequent pre?construction design phases.
/p h3Technical Leadership for Development /h3 ul liProvide engineering support to the Development team from site screening through ready?to?build.
/li liDeliver preliminary layouts, energy?yield estimates, grid?connection feasibility, and single?line diagrams.
/li liProvide technical input for permitting submissions and environmental studies; run constructability assessments and conduct site visits.
/li liReview and challenge technical assumptions used in financial models (CAPEX, P50/P90, losses, availability).
/li liIdentify, assess, and mitigate technical risks to ensure projects remain bankable, constructible, and commercially viable.
/li liSupport project approvals, investments and acquisitions through technical inputs and risk assessments.
/li /ul h3Nexus with PVI (External Engineering Partner) /h3 ul liAct as the primary engineering interface between Development and PVI.
/li liTranslate development requirements into clear, prioritised engineering scopes for PVI.
/li liPlan and manage PVI's workload on development?stage deliverables: schedules, milestones, and quality gates.
/li liReview PVI deliverables and ensure they meet Enfinity standards before they reach Development or external stakeholders; elevate scope, quality, or capacity issues to the Head of Engineering.
/li /ul h3Process, Standards Handover /h3 ul liMaintain and evolve Enfinity's development?stage engineering standards, templates, and design criteria.
/li liEnsure consistent handover packages from Development Engineering to Pre?Construction Engineering.
/li liIncorporate field learning into development?stage engineering processes, design criteria, and technical assumptions.
/li /ul h3Team and Stakeholder Management /h3 ul liLead, coach, and grow the internal Development Engineering team.
/li liCoordinate with Pre?Construction, BESS Engineering, Permitting, Grid, and Land teams to ensure technical alignment.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liDegree in Industrial, Electrical or Energy Engineering.
/li li7?10 years in the renewable energy sector, with strong exposure to PV utility?scale projects (BESS exposure a plus).
/li liSignificant experience in development?stage engineering: layouts, yield, grid connection, feasibility.
/li liExperience managing or coordinating external engineering consultants or firms.
/li liPrevious people?management experience (small to mid?size teams).
/li liProject management certification is a plus.
/li liProficiency in PVsyst and other design tools valued.
/li liStrong technical judgment—knows when development?stage detail is sufficient and when it is not.
/li liExcellent organization and prioritisation.
/li liEffective communicator who bridges developers (commercial mindset) and engineers (technical mindset).
/li liSolid command of design tools (PVsyst, AutoCAD, GIS) and familiarity with energy modelling.
