ph3Overview /h3pOur Client is looking for bTelecommunication Engineers /b to work in their Research and Development Department, which is actively involved in the field of optical communications for satellite applications, in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI).
/ppThe candidates will support the design, realisation and operation of a new test-facility aiming at assessing and certifying the interoperability of Optical Communication Terminal Payloads.
/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliParticipating in design and validation of test-benches for free-space optical communication systems and devices operating at very high bit-rates ( 100 Gb/s) /liliConduct test-campaigns following relevant standards /liliActive participation in international standardisation committees /li /ulh3Qualifications and Experience /h3ulliStrong passion for the development of new technologies /liliDegree in Telecommunication Engineering /liliBasic knowledge of tests and measurement practices for signal integrity analysis,



assessment of transmission systems and telecom opto-electronic devices /liliKnowledge of automation/data analysis software environment (LabView, Python, C) /liliPhD in relevant fields is appreciated, but not mandatory /lili"Problem Solving" attitude, autonomy and "pro-activity" /liliWillingness to learn new tools and methodologies /li /ulh3Location /h3pThese are tempo pieno permanent positions in Livorno, Italy.
There is an option for these to be contract positions.
