KT is looking for a Construction Insulation & Painting Supervisor, in Livorno (Italy) to join its Construction team and support the successful execution of international projects.
Mission:
Each Supervisor reports to the Construction Manager, with the exclusion of MCS and PIS that reports to MSP, when he is present in the site team.
He directs Subcontractor activities for his own discipline, ensuring that Plant Construction works are performed according to the erection schedules and Project documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to Quality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract. One or more assistants to whom he may delegate some functions, may support him.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prior to the start of works, to check the Supplier’s material and technical documentation delivery
schedule. Check that the same is in line with Construction schedules and contractual commitments;
• To check that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay;
• To check that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same;
• To prepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinate non-conformity
resolution;
• To detect any design errors,
and where possible rectify the same or request the Site Engineer to
make the necessary changes;
• To check Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval;
• To manage vendor specialists;
• To assist the Contract Engineer in defining new prices, in preparing amendments to subcontracts and in analysing and discussing claims.
• In Home Office (whenever possible) to cooperate with the project team for the Constructability and feasibility studies, with APPAL for technical tabulation of the civil bidders’ proposals and clarification meeting with the bidders, with civil department to analyse / define the WR to be included in the Scope of Work of Subcontractor.
Requirements and Skills
- Technical diploma with relevant experience
- Proven experience (at least 8 years) in construction subcontracting supervision, preferably within EPC companies
- FROSIO Level 2 certification
- Good understanding of project technical documentation (specifications, drawings, schedules)
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage complex activities and multiple stakeholders in a structured manner
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and results-driven approach
- Proactive mindset, adaptability, and teamwork attitude
- Previous experience in EPC projects is considered a plus
Contract Type and Classification
- Contract type: Non Permanent
- Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)
- Job classification level: White Collar Level, consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement
Compensation
The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be € 50.000.
The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation premio.
Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
