We are recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Grade 2/3 PYP Homeroom Teacher to join a well-established international school in Emilia-Romagna, Northern Italy.
This is an urgent appointment, and the school is ready to interview suitable candidates immediately.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a mixed Grade 2/3 primary class, delivering engaging, inquiry-led teaching within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).
This is an excellent opportunity for a primary teacher looking to join an international environment in Italy, with a strong relocation package available to support the move.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a Grade 2/3 homeroom class.
- Deliver learning in line with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Create an inquiry-led, student-centred and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
- Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and members of the wider school team.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to planning, school activities and the wider international school community.
- Encourage pupils to become confident, independent and internationally minded learners.
The Ideal Candidate We would be particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- A recognised Primary Teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a primary or elementary setting.
- Previous IB PYP experience or experience within an international school.
- Experience teaching Grade 2/3, Year 2/3, KS1 or lower primary would be particularly relevant.
- An understanding of inquiry-based and student-centred learning.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A flexible and collaborative approach to teaching.
- The ability to relocate to Rimini at short notice.
- An EU passport or existing right to work in Italy due to the urgent start date.
Previous PYP experience is highly desirable; however, teachers with strong primary experience and an understanding of inquiry-led learning are also encouraged to apply. Salary & Benefits The school is offering a strong package to support the successful teacher, including:
- €30,000 gross annual salary
- ANINSEI Contract
- 13 months' salary
- TFR (Trattamento di Fine Rapporto)
- Generous pension contribution
- Up to 10 nights of paid accommodation on arrival
- Relocation allowance of up to €500
- Lunch provided during working days
- Support with finding suitable longer-term accommodation
- Assistance with the housing deposit, which can be repaid in instalments
- Advance on salary available if necessary
Relocating to Rimini The school understands that relocating internationally can be challenging, particularly at short notice, and is committed to making the transition as straightforward as possible. Alongside temporary accommodation and the €500 relocation allowance, the successful candidate will receive practical support with securing longer-term accommodation after arriving in Italy, including assistance with the initial housing deposit where required.
