We are seeking an experienced JAVA Software Engineer to develop Java, Diagnostics, and OTA offboard software. You will focus on vehicle diagnostics and Over-the-Air (OTA) updating mechanisms. We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to build backend infrastructure supporting offboard automotive solutions. This role manages telemetry data, remote diagnostics, and cloud-to-vehicle Over-the-Air (OTA) deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

- Develop scalable backend services and API architectures using Java/Spring. - Implement offboard diagnostics systems to process vehicle telemetry data. - Manage cloud infrastructure for secure, reliable offboard Over-the-Air (OTA) updates. - Utilize CANoe environments to test backend API interactions with simulated vehicle endpoints.

Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 5 years in backend software engineering (Automotive domain) - Core Java Development: Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, RESTful API Design and Development, Microservices Architecture, Maven / Gradle, JUnit, Integration Testing,

Required Technical Skills





- Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Design Patterns - Backend & Cloud Technologies - Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Containerization (Docker) - Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

- API Gateway and Service Security - Database & Data Management - SQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) or - NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) - Telemetry Data Processing - OTA (Over-the-Air) Updates - OTA Software Update Architecture - Software/Firmware Deployment Pipelines, Secure Update Mechanisms, Package Management and Versioning - Vehicle Software configuration management

Additional Skills

- Familiarity with Vector CANoe or similar simulation tools to trace backend data packets down to the vehicle network layer

Professional fluency in both English and Italian is a strong plus to help our international teams and local stakeholders work together smoothly
