Projects – High-Level Overview
The internship will focus on the application of advanced AI technologies to industrial environments, with two main streams:
Computer Vision for Industrial Processes
- Design and develop AI-based tools to deal with topics similar to the following:
- Defects on production lines
- Issues at the end of testing activities
- Incorrect assembly of components in complex systems
- Work under realistic industrial constraints such as variable lighting, high throughput, and heterogeneous data sources
- Contribute to the development of scalable and deployable solutions that can be integrated into operational workflows
Agentic AI for Process Automation
- Explore and implement Agentic AI solutions to automate and optimise processes across:
- Engineering domains (e.g. design validation, documentation analysis, test result interpretation)
- Non-engineering domains (e.g. workflow automation, knowledge retrieval, decision support tools)
- Develop AI agents capable of interacting with systems, APIs, and datasets to execute multi-step tasks autonomously
- Contribute to transforming AI capabilities into usable tools for internal stakeholders
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the design and development of AI-driven applications addressing real industrial use cases
- Support the creation of scalable tools and prototypes using state-of-the-art AI techniques
- Participate in the end-to-end lifecycle: from data preparation and model experimentation to integration into usable applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, engineering, operations) to ensure solutions provide real business value
What We’re Looking For
- Background in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or related fields
- Programming skills in Python (mandatory)
- Previous experience in:Â
- Machine learning and/or computer vision projects
or
- Development of solutions using LLMs via APIsÂ
