POSITION OVERVIEW Our company has a long history in the manufacture of Nylon 6,6. Today, the Company is more focused than ever before on customers - understanding their unique challenges in the market, to developing product solutions that address their market needs, and to provide excellent customer and technical service. For our Italian masterbatches site, Esseti Plast, we are seeking a creative, accurate and proactive Senior Color Specialist to drive new developments and improve the reliability and efficiency of the Esseti Plast Laboratory, aiming to ensure the success of our masterbatches business. KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Develop and maintain the Esseti color formulation guidelines.
- Conduct R&D; activities for new projects and color developments based on customer requirements and samples
- Provide technical support to the sales team for troubleshooting and complex development projects with strategic customers.
- Operates, when needed, extruders and injection molding machines to produce color chips.
- Lead internal communication with key stakeholders and participate in monthly Esseti Plast management meetings.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to validate new pigments and colorants, assessing new additives and raw materials.
- Define color specifications and maintain records of color standards. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Technical diploma (ITS) or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
- Solid understanding of plastic processing equipment used in color pigment compounding.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in color matching for engineered materials. REQUIRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment such as FTIR, Melt Flow Index, and others.
- Familiarity with color measurement tools and software (training provided on Colibri); knowledge of CIELAB and Lab cmc is a plus.
- Experience with spectrophotometric systems for formulation sharing, quality control, production, and data exchange.
- Strong mathematical skills for conversions and formula calculations.
- In-depth knowledge of pigments, additives, and resin raw materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Adaptive problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized processes, and adhere to safety and continuous improvement practices.
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Good English knowledge (written and spoken).
