/p h3ABOUT THE ROLE /h3 pbJob Title /b /p pbJob Purpose /b /p pJoining a dynamic and motivated compound development team, the RD compound development engineer will lead design, develop and validate innovative compound solutions for the future Bridgestone products.
/p pThe candidate will play a key role in the development of new commercial compound development through his/her solid knowledge on Material Science, Chemistry and industrial process technology, covering a wide range of activities from design thinking of compound prototype, laboratory investigation, compound validation on tire until industrialization stage.
/p pbResponsibilities /b /p ul liDesign, develop and validate new tread compound formulations providing proposals, solutions and original ideas along cross functional team-working with the Raw Material Development, Pattern Design Engineering, Tire Design, Manufacturing and Product Category Management teams.
/li liSupport and collaborate with Raw materials,



Pattern and modeling Design for implementation of most advanced technology solutions in tribology, fracture mechanics, durability, mixing, curing and extrusion technologies /li liPromote Open Innovation projects with Bridgestone Partners Academia.
/li liWork effectively with technicians, RD researchers and Management of Bridgestone EMIA Technical Center, actively taking part to RD cross-functional teams.
/li liCollaborate with Bridgestone Corporate Functions, Bridgestone America and Bridgestone Japan and Bridgestone Europe manufacturing plants.
/li /ul pbQualifications Experience Required /b /p pbEducation, Master, Other certification: /b /p ul liPh.D.
in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or any other related field of study.
/li /ul pbExperience (years): /b /p pPreference will be given to candidates with background in material science (polymers, thermoplastics, composites, foaming technology, adhesives and innovative materials), organic chemistry, practical experience in compound development (including experience on mixing, extrusion and curing), materials simulation and modeling.
/p pbTechnical Skills: /b /p ul liDigital mindset: solid knowledge of MS Office package and digital software as Matlab, Python.
/li liSkills in machine learning, big data analytics computer vision is preferable.
/li /ul pbLanguages Skills: /b /p ul liFluency in written and spoken English /li /ul pbSoft/Behavioral Skills: /b /p ul liGoal-oriented, motivated,
