Senior Financial Accountant - Italy For a leading international organisation operating across multiple countries

, we are looking for a

Senior Financial Accountant to join the newly established finance function in Italy.

Key Responsibilities

- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration and general ledger accounting of the Italian entity.

- Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.

- Oversee financial processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance and risk management

.

- Prepare and review financial information and provide accurate data to support financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting

.

- Apply strong knowledge of

Italian GAAP, IFRS and Italian tax legislation to address complex accounting and reporting matters.

- Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities

, including preparation of audit documentation and collaboration with external auditors and tax advisors.

- Ensure effective internal controls, financial governance and compliance with statutory and internal requirements.

- Work closely with the international finance team and external advisors across tax, compliance and audit.

- Lead and mentor a Financial Accountant

, supporting their professional development through coaching and training.

- Contribute to building and continuously improving the finance processes of a newly established Italian organisation

.

Requirements

- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.

- Strong experience in





Italian GAAP

; knowledge of

IFRS is highly preferred.

- Solid background in financial accounting, general ledger and financial reporting.

- Experience with tax, statutory compliance and audit processes

.

- Previous career progression from a Financial Accountant or similar accounting position.

- Bachelor's degree or higher education in

Finance, Accounting or a related field

.

- Experience gained within an international or multinational organisation is highly preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on and proactive approach.

- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and reliability.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an international finance team

.

- Comfortable working in an environment where processes and structures are being built and improved.
