Failure Analysis Engineer

Location: Netherlands (relocation support available)

Contract Type: Long-term (1-2 year contract, with potential for direct hire by client)

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and product failures
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on electronic, electrical, and mechatronic systems
- Document findings in clear, detailed technical reports
- Partner with quality, product, and manufacturing teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support both internal manufacturing and external clients with containment measures and reliability improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve systemic issues and prevent recurrence

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- 2+ Years of experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Background in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, or complex automation systems




- Strong analytical skills and ability to write structured, technical reports
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Proactive mindset, high sense of responsibility, and ownership of problems from start to finish

We Offer

- 1-2 year contract (40 hours/week) with the possibility of permanent employment
- Monthly gross salary: €3,500-€5,000 (based on experience and education)
- 25 paid vacation days + paid public holidays
