A global engineering and manufacturing group is hiring a Head of Procurement to take regional ownership of its direct, engineered-product categories as part of a multi-year procurement transformation. Sitting on the Global Procurement leadership team, you'll own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for key direct categories serving automotive, smart infrastructure, medical and general industrial markets — and act as a genuine business partner to the senior leadership team.

The scope c.£115m annual third-party spend across c.3,600 suppliers spanning UK&I;, Europe, USA and Asia Leadership of a regional team of category, sourcing and senior buying professionals in a matrix structure Deputy to the Global Procurement Director, representing procurement at senior leadership forums What you'll do Deliver measurable EBIT, margin and working capital improvement through disciplined category strategy, TCO and should-cost modelling, and complex multi-region negotiation Build multi-year category playbooks, sourcing pathways, SRM tiering and governance that are globally consistent and locally workable Strengthen supplier performance,



risk and resilience — dual sourcing, risk registers, tariff and CBAM exposure, ESG due diligence backed by evidence Champion pragmatic digital enablement (ERP/e Procurement, dashboards, analytics, AI) and a single source of truth for benefits reporting Grow capability, succession and a high-performing, inclusive team culture What you'll bring 10+ years in procurement/supply chain, including 5+ years leading people in a global or regional function Strong track record in direct/engineered product sourcing with demonstrable, finance-validated savings at global scale Credibility and influence at SLT/ELT level, plus change management experience across multi-region teams Degree qualified; MCIPS or equivalent strongly preferred Desirable: automotive or engineered components exposure, commodity markets, gainshare/risk-reward commercial models If you want to shape a procurement function rather than simply run one, this is a rare opportunity at a genuine inflection point.
