Clinical Application Analyst – Pharmacy
Our Clinical Application team works closely with healthcare organisations to help them successfully implement and maximise the value of InterSystems’ healthcare solutions. We are looking for a Clinical Application Analyst – Pharmacy with a strong clinical background and experience working as a Hospital Pharmacist , who can combine their healthcare expertise with an understanding of clinical information systems and customer needs.
In this role, you will become a subject matter expert for pharmacy-related workflows and an important point of contact for customers. You will work closely with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to understand their processes, identify the best-fit solution and support the successful adoption of InterSystems products.
The role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of clinical practice, healthcare technology and customer consultancy , contributing to implementations that can improve the way healthcare organisations deliver care. The role requires a willingness and availability to travel to customer sites as required.
Key Responsibilities –
- Work closely with customers to understand their pharmacy workflows, clinical processes and business requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert for pharmacy-related functionality and provide guidance on the effective use and implementation of InterSystems solutions.
- Assess customer requirements and advise on the best-fit standard solution, minimising unnecessary customer-specific developments.
- Conduct customer workshops, training sessions and presentations, communicating complex concepts clearly to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
- Support customers in maximising the benefits of InterSystems solutions and adopting effective and standardised processes.
- Translate clinical and business requirements into clear functional specifications and documentation.
- Contribute to business process mapping and the analysis of existing customer workflows.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical, technical, product and implementation teams.
- Support software testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet agreed clinical and functional requirements.
- Keep up to date with new product developments and understand how new functionality can support customer needs.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders and confidently communicate recommendations and guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Travel to customer sites as required to support workshops, implementations, training and other customer-facing activities.
Must Have –
- University degree in Pharmacy or a related discipline.
- At least 1 years of experience working as a Hospital Pharmacist, with a strong understanding of clinical and pharmacy processes.
- Experience working within a hospital pharmacy environment .
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems .
- Good understanding of Hospital Information Systems, Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and Clinical Information Systems.
- Experience interacting directly with customers and/or healthcare professionals, including clinicians.
- Excellent communication and consultative skills, with the ability to confidently articulate and communicate ideas.
- Experience delivering training, workshops and/or presentations.
- Experience contributing to multidisciplinary teams and working collaboratively with different stakeholders.
- Experience writing functional documentation and mapping business processes.
- Good understanding of Information Systems and healthcare technology.
- Willingness and availability to travel to customer sites as required.
Nice to Have –
- Experience communicating with key stakeholders at different levels within healthcare organisations, including public and/or private sector organisations.
- Previous experience implementing software or healthcare technology solutions.
- Previous experience in an application, configuration or clinical systems specialist role.
- Experience working in a customer-facing IT or healthcare technology environment.
- Experience with change management and supporting users through the adoption of new systems and processes.
- Experience conducting software testing and supporting validation activities.
- Strong general computer skills and confidence working with digital tools.

- Comfortable using digital and AI-enabled tools to support research, analysis, documentation and day-to-day work.
- Able to critically evaluate information generated by digital and AI tools and apply appropriate professional judgement.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies that can improve efficiency and support customer outcomes.
- Ability to work confidently in a technology-enabled healthcare environment.
Languages
- Fluent Italian.
- Good command of written and spoken English.

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.
Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

The estimated base compensation range for this role is: €40.000—€49.000 EUR
