About the client:
Our Client is a multinational company, one of the world’s largest systems suppliers for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors. His portfolio includes machinery and plants as well as advanced process technology, components and comprehensive services. The company has some importants branches in nord Italy. We are looking for the Strategic Buyer Manufacturing for the branche of Parma.

About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented BUYER to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business. The buyer, reporting to the HEAD OF PROCUREMENT in the PROCUREMENT DIVISION, will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.



The STRATEGIC BUYER should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management.

Role Responsibilities:

- Works closely with category managers of respective category and project procurement managers implementing the category strategy and linking it into the business
- Adapts and implements catalogues and framework contracts on Divisional/ regional level in compliance with guidelines
- Runs negotiations, awarding decisions and follow-up with suppliers, takes awarding decisions in line with category strategy
- Executes supplier selection along strategy, requirements, supplier base development, and identification of new suppliers
- Direct involvement in and solving of issues with suppliers (e.g., quality, delivery, and service issues), etc.
