Linux Systems Administrator – HPC
Work place: Turin - Italy

If selected, after a probation period of approximately 2 months in our offices in Turin, the candidate will have the option to work remotely from anywhere in Italy, and will be requested to come to Turin once every 2 months for business meetings.

Job description
Do IT Now is looking for a passionate and very proactive Linux Systems Administrator to join HPC support team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for Installation, configuration and maintenance of HPC systems based on GNU/Linux distributions as well as all related software components.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for designing and configuring HPC cluster architectures, including all hardware and software components (servers, high-speed interconnects, storage, queue management tools, etc.).
Working in team with our application and system engineers, the candidate will be
responsible for identifying advanced solutions, installation and configuration of HPC applications, as well as developing applications performance improvements.



The candidate will also be responsible for client/user training.

Skills and Experience

Essential skills
High school diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar.
5+ years of experience in similar roles.
Fluent English and Italian.
Good knowledge of Linux Enterprise distributions (RedHat EL, SLES, etc.)
Knowledge Backup and Scripting with Bash and Python.

Technical skills and experience:
Linux Enterprise distributions (RedHat EL, SLES, etc.)
Networking: Switching, VLAN, FireWall
Monitoring Systems: Zabix, Nagios
Backup and Scripting with Bash and Python
Parallel File System (Lustre, BeeGFS, GPFS, CEPH, etc.)
HPC Scheduler: PBS, LSF, SLURM etc.
Docker, Singularity, R.H. Container
Deployment tools: Xcat, Bright Cluster Manager
Automations Tools: Ansible, Puppet
