We are seeking a feature film director with strong experience in psychological, character‐driven storytelling. Must have directing credits (feature or high‐level short films) and a strong cinematic visual language. We are not considering beginner filmmakers, editors, or AI/teaser content creators. 9, a psychological thriller centered on emotional tension, control, and shifting perception between two central characters. The film takes place in a contained Sicilian villa environment, where psychological pressure builds through dialogue, silence, and evolving power dynamics rather than external action. 9 is a Berlin International Screenwriting Festival 2026 Finalist. We are looking for a filmmaker with a strong visual language and a sensitivity to psychological storytelling – someone who understands how to translate internal emotional states into cinematic atmosphere, subtext, and controlled visual tension. Director attachment will be considered in collaboration with the producing partner.
