ROOM ATTENDANT

Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’sRoom Attendantis in chargeofmaking uptheguestrooms andaccounts for their cleanliness and tidiness during the guests’ stayand before their arrival.

Duties andresponsibilities:

- Ensure cleanliness standardsaremaintainedin all guestroomson a daily basis
- Inspect all guestroom’sfresh linens for cleanliness and substandard appearance
- Efficiently turndown bed to meet appearance standard as demonstrated
- Arrange all clothing items in occupied guestroomsmaking sure that theyare folded or hung neatly according to standard as demonstrated
- Set up turndown tray with water as well as other turndown amenities as demonstrated
- Turn on stereo/television toappropriatewelcomestandard
- Turn onappropriate lightingif guest is not present during service
- Ensure guest has the correct amount of valet/dry cleaning/shoeshine bags/slips
- Replace guest amenities when appropriate
- Double check cleanliness of completed work area and placement of amenities in each complete guestroom before moving on to the next task




- Vacuumguestroom’scarpet furniture and baseboards according to standard during the service
- Empty waste baskets
- Recognize and report all missing, damaged orsubstandardfurniture,fixturesand equipment
- Ensure that all electronic devices (television, stereo, telephones) are working properly
- Evaluate work assignment and prioritizeworkloadaccording to guest requests
- Ensure all guestrooms assigned are completed with correct status marked at the end of the day including any information for input into guest history file
- Organize supply closets and work areas so that the Housekeeping Department operates,maintainsand consistently meets efficient standards
- Comply withall MOHG Pillars, Department LQE’s and Guiding Principles
- Adhere to Do Not Disturb policy

Requirements:

- Good knowledge of Italian and English
- Able to stand and walk for an extendedperiod of time
- Ability to push and pull the housekeeping cart
- Possessa pleasant and outgoing personality
- Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule,weekendsand holidays

Average gross monthly salary: €1.600,00
