We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join a leading international contractor on a hyperscale data centre project in Rome. This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in large-scale MEP and mission-critical projects, particularly with experience working in Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all cost management activities for the data centre project, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial reporting.

- Manage procurement, contract administration, and commercial performance of subcontractors and suppliers.

- Oversee budget control, valuations, change management, and risk management processes.

- Liaise with clients, design teams, and project managers to ensure commercial objectives are met.

- Provide strategic advice on cost-related decisions and value engineering opportunities.

- Produce accurate,



timely cost reports and financial updates for senior leadership.

- Ensure all commercial activities align with health, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor on data centres or other mission-critical projects.

- Fluent in Italian (spoken and written) – essential for client and site team communication.

- Strong track record of working on projects in Switzerland, with knowledge of local regulations and standards.

- Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical (M&E;) cost management.

- Experience with international forms of contract, including NEC and FIDIC.

- EU passport or unrestricted right to work in Italy (mandatory).

- Available to start within 2-4 weeks.
