Position Overview
IES Residential is seeking a Pre-Construction Specialist to join our team. The Pre-Construction Specialist is responsible for supporting pre-construction operations through project coordination, document management, scheduling assistance, and communication with internal teams, customers, vendors, and subcontractors. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are properly organized and prepared prior to construction start.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with all phases of the pre-construction process from project initiation through handoff to operations.
Review project documents, plans, specifications, and related materials for completeness and accuracy.
Coordinate with estimating, purchasing, operations, and project management teams to support project readiness.
Prepare and maintain project files, schedules, reports, and documentation.
Assist in tracking project timelines, deliverables, approvals, and material requirements.
Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors,



and internal departments regarding project updates and requirements.
Support permit processing, contract documentation, and project setup activities.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is completed and properly filed.
Identify and communicate potential project issues, delays, or discrepancies to management.
Participate in project meetings and provide administrative and operational support as needed.
Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
Maintain professionalism and always provide excellent customer service.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
