ppUniflair S.p.A. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the company on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or alternatively a Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. /p pThe successful candidate will become part of the Innovation Experts Team as domain expert in mechanical design and will be responsible for developing projects related to mechanical components and HVAC units using Solid Edge software and/or Creo CAD. Projects may involve the development of new components, accessories, products , prototypes and demo units to validate new technologies and components, feasibility studies, pre-design. Occasionally he/she can support RD for product development (PMP), sustaining activities for active product ranges (PEP), or highly customized solutions for specific customers (CSP). /p pThe role requires close collaboration with Innovation Challenge Leaders to define aspects of the project, as well as with the entire extended project team. /p pThe candidate will also be responsible for part coding and the creation/modification of machine Bills of Materials (BOMs), carrying out cross-functional activities across the product portfolio, including the preparation of welding maps, when required. /p pIn addition, the role involves participation in the early stages of product conception and feasibility studies, as well as the design and development of new products and subassemblies. /p pThe engineer will validate designs and complex technical solutions through testing and prototype development. Adopted solutions must be independently verified and validated within the candidate’s area of responsibility. /p pCertain activities may also include the coordination and mentoring of junior mechanical engineers within project teams. /p pBeing part of the Innovation Team means involvement also in less standardized activities. Therefore flexibility, curiosity and an innovative approach to problem solutions would be a plus. /p pBased on experience and set of skill, the candidate could be assigned to lead certain innovation challenges focused on mechanical challenges or basic thermodynamics. /p h3Key Activities and Responsibilities /h3 ul liReport to the Innovation Experts Manager and comply with established engineering design guidelines. /li liAble to manage the entire project lifecycle, from the development phase (including refrigeration circuit design, sheet metal development, piping, etc.) through to production. /li liPerform 3D modeling using Solid Edge and/or CREO CAD software. /li liProduce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation. During this phase, liaise with suppliers to clarify manufacturing and construction-related questions. /li liManage part and product coding activities using PLM and AS400 systems. /li liCollaborate continuously with the Project Team to discuss technical issues, product costs, performance targets, and any critical challenges that arise throughout the project. /li liProvide hands-on support during prototype construction and deliver technical instructions as required. /li liInterface with the Industrialization Department to implement modifications resulting from prototype testing or production feedback, managed through JIRA or PEP systems. /li liPrepare the Manufacturing Specification Document (CIS) in collaboration with the Production Manager and/or Plant Engineering Manager, ensuring correct registration and updates.
/li liSupport and supervise manufacturing activities, particularly during the prototyping phase. /li liWork closely with the Technical Support function to assess component non-conformities and deviations, and with Purchasing to verify supplier quotations for accuracy and feasibility. /li liMaintain confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information. /li liPromote and apply the 5S methodology. /li liEnsure all activities meet company quality standards as well as customer requirements. /li liEnsure compliance with PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) requirements. /li liSupport the preparation of technical documentation by providing images, technical data, and relevant information. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liMinimum of 3 years of experience in the mechanical design of industrial machinery, preferably HVAC equipment. /li liGood knowledge of refrigeration systems used in air conditioning applications. /li liAbility to create refrigeration schematics in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. /li liAbility to read and interpret technical drawings. /li liKnowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably Solid Edge. /li liMotivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, matrix-based environment involving multiple stakeholders. /li liStrong organizational skills and teamwork capabilities. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong analytical and synthesis abilities. /li liProven ability to work successfully within cross-functional teams. /li liExperience in Innovation or prototyping is plus /li liEnglish proficiency at B1 level or higher. /li liKnowledge of Microsoft Collaboration Tools (Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook, Office365). /li /ul h3What's in It for You /h3 ul liOpportunity to lead cutting-edge electromechanical integration projects. /li liAutonomy to propose and develop complex technical solutions. /li liProfessional growth through challenging technical assignments and leadership opportunities. /li liCollaborative environment that fosters innovation and technical excellence. /li liOpportunity to influence future product developments and engineering standards. /li /ul pAt Schneider, we believe that every employee is a talent who deserves equal opportunities.
