The successful candidate will become part of the Innovation Experts Team as domain expert in mechanical design and will be responsible for developing projects related to mechanical components and HVAC units using Solid Edge software and/or Creo CAD.
Projects may involve the development of new components, accessories, products , prototypes and demo units to validate new technologies and components, feasibility studies, pre-design. Occasionally he/she can support R&D; for product development (PMP), sustaining activities for active product ranges (PEP), or highly customized solutions for specific customers (CSP). The role requires close collaboration with Innovation Challenge Leaders to define aspects of the project, as well as with the entire extended project team.
The candidate will also be responsible for part coding and the creation/modification of machine Bills of Materials (BOMs), carrying out cross-functional activities across the product portfolio, including the preparation of welding maps, when required. In addition, the role involves participation in the early stages of product conception and feasibility studies, as well as the design and development of new products and subassemblies. The engineer will validate designs and complex technical solutions through testing and prototype development.
Adopted solutions must be independently verified and validated within the candidate’s area of responsibility.
