Job DescriptionBESS Delivery & Service Engineer – Utility Scale ProjectsPosition OverviewTheBESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (Utility Scale)is responsible for the execution and lifecycle support oflarge-scale battery energy storage projectsafter the project is secured by the sales and presales teams.
The role manages thetechnical delivery, commissioning, and operational supportof utility-scale BESS projects.
Key Responsibilities1.
Project Handover from Sales / PresalesTake ownership of projects aftercommercial contract closure.
Grid requirements
Performance guarantees
Align with customers and internal teams on project execution strategy.
2. Project Execution & DeliveryManage thefull lifecycle delivery of utility-scale BESS projects.
Coordinate with EPC contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.
Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, grid requirements, and safety standards.
Manage project risks and coordinate issue resolution.
Oversee commissioning of utility-scale BESS including:
System energization
Grid compliance testing




Performance testing
Work with grid operators and technical partners to complete system integration.
Ensure successful handover to operations.
4. Operations Support & Service ManagementCoordinatepost-commissioning support and service activities.
Manage long-term service plans and preventive maintenance.
Monitor system performance and coordinate troubleshooting if needed.
Interface with OEM technical teams for system diagnostics.
5. Stakeholder CoordinationAct as the primary technical contact between:
Customers
EPC contractors
Internal teams
Ensure smooth communication and alignment across stakeholders.
QualificationsDegree inElectrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years experiencein utility-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.

Experience withlarge-scale BESS, solar + storage, or grid infrastructurepreferred.
Strong understanding of:
Grid integration
Power systems
High-voltage systems
SkillsStrong project management and coordination skills
Knowledge of grid compliance and power system integration
Ability to manage multiple technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving ability
Willingness to travel to project sites
