Exide is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Manufacturing Engineering activities across its four Automotive plants in Europe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution and monitoring of CAPEX projects, ensuring that investments are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with company standards. The position requires close collaboration with plant teams and other business functions to drive equipment standardization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across all sites.

Main tasks:

- Coordinate the CAPEX process, including the definition and monitoring of short-, medium-, and long-term investment strategies, ensuring alignment between the annual budget and the investment plan.
- Consolidate and manage the monthly CAPEX reporting process, collaborating closely with plant teams to ensure data accuracy and provide reliable information for decision-making.
- Lead and support project management activities, ensuring effective project follow-up and coordination with plant teams.
- Manage manufacturing equipment projects, including the development of technical specifications, supplier selection and quotation analysis, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning up to SOP (Start of Production),



and collaboration with Maintenance for the development of preventive maintenance plans.
- Conduct technical evaluations, perform benchmarking activities, and provide recommendations to support project definition and investment decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new projects, continuous improvement initiatives, innovative solutions, and standards aimed at enhancing installations, 5S, quality, productivity, EHS, and new product introductions.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies while actively contributing to their continuous improvement whenever opportunities are identified.

Requirements:

- Degree in Engineering (Process Engineering, Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering);
- Minimum 2–3-year experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, and/or plant engineering (preferably within automotive companies);
- Fluency in Italian and English, both spoken and written (minimum B2 level);
- Perfect command of Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications;
- Solid hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes, products, machines, and equipment; comfortable working in a plant environment;
- Strong ability to work in cross-functional teams, with a proactive, goal-oriented mindset.
