Job Description Vertex Italy is currently seeking a talented and curious individual to join our Medical team directly reporting into the Country Medical Director. The opportunity is located in our offices in Rome. As Medical Affairs Intern, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with the rest of the Medical team and with other partners within the organization such as Regulatory, Marketing and Commercial. You will be able to integrate the Medical team and contribute to the planning and execution of the Medical Plan with focus on educational activities. This role provides opportunities to expand knowledge of local regulations, understand strategic thinking in Medical Affairs and interact with the scientific community in 2 highly specialized therapeutic areas. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience of working within a thriving biotechnology environment, expand your network and grow your project management and strategic thinking skills. Job Summary: - Supports business owner in the oversight and planning of activities, ensuring compliance to timelines and processes,
- Participates in staff meeting and contributes to coordination of specific tasks ad hoc based on medical plan, with focus on medical education activities,
- Interacts with health care professionals as needed to ensure smooth execution of educational projects and advisory boards,




- Interacts with cross-functional teams as needed to develop medical content in compliance with local regulations
- Develops project presentations ad hoc. Minimum Requirements: - Recently graduated Bachelors’ Degree in life sciences, preferably degree in chemistry and farmaceutic technology “Chimica e tecnologia farmaceutiche”
- Good business English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint are a must)
