Role: D365 Business Central Functional Consultant

Location: Remote – Consultant can be based anywhere in Europe

Language: Fluent English required; Italian or French is a plus

Travel: Must be authorized and available to travel to Italy

Seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) functional consultant specializing in the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle. In this role, you will lead the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of Business Central modules to optimize end-to-end sales transactions. This covers customer onboarding, order intake, inventory reservation, warehouse shipment, invoicing, and accounts receivable collections.

You will be as the strategic bridge between complex business requirements and Microsoft D365 ERP system configuration.

Key Responsibilities

- OTC Process Blueprinting: Analyze, map, and document current client sales and financial processes to engineer efficient 'to-be' states utilizing standard Business Central features.
- System Configuration: Set up sales pipelines, customer pricing structures, discount matrices, payment terms, tax matrices, assembly orders, and shipping rules.
- Cross-Module Alignment: Seamlessly integrate sales order workflows with Inventory, Warehousing, and





General Ledger accounts to maintain data continuity.
- Data Migration & Integrity: Lead legacy data extractions, formatting, and successful uploads of master customer accounts, historical balances, and open sales orders.
- Testing & Validation: Design comprehensive user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts to validate sales order posting logic, tax evaluations, and reporting output.
- Training & Change Management: Provide functional post-go-live training, documentation, and operational troubleshooting for finance, sales, and logistics teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

- D365 ERP Expertise: 5+ years implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV (on premise, non-cloud version), focusing directly on Sales, Inventory, and Financial Management.
- Process Mastery: In-depth understanding of functional Order-to-Cash concepts, credit checks, pricing tiers, automated dropship workflows, and revenue recognition.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong business analysis skills with an ability to translate commercial bottlenecks into clear functional specifications.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in building professional relationships, conducting workshops, and explaining system configurations to non-technical stakeholders
