What will you bring as an Independent Cook I?
- Your duties include carrying out preparatory work such as washing vegetables, cutting and filleting salmon, and cutting lamb chops and beef for the preparation of various dishes, working within a kitchen team of approximately 5 colleagues under the supervision of the head chef.
- Preparing and cooking dishes and carrying out interim quality and hygiene checks.
- Preparing and checking dishes for service, after which the service staff can take them over for placement on the warming chafing dishes.
- Planning daily activities and ordering food products and other stock replenishments from regular suppliers, as well as checking delivered goods.
- Supervising the work of kitchen assistants,



providing guidance and instructions.
- Cleaning your own workstation, kitchen equipment and machines daily before closing time, and assisting any kitchen assistants present with cleaning the entire kitchen and storing delivered goods.
- Being a good team player who is flexible and has good communication skills.
- Contributing to quality improvement and optimization, including updating menus and developing recipes and preparation instructions.
- Preferred requirements: MBO level 3 (or comparable) education with knowledge of basic cooking techniques. What do we offer?
- A gross salary between €2,600 and €3,100 based on a 38-hour work week, according to the Dutch Hospitality (Horeca) CAO, including 25 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance.
