Job DescriptionConstance Ephelia, a luxurious resort in Seychelles, is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Hygiene Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and oversee comprehensive hygiene and sanitation programmes across all areas of the resort
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local and international health and safety standards
Train and supervise the hygiene team, providing guidance on best practices and procedures
Collaborate with department heads to address hygiene-related issues and implement improvements
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective procurement and stock control
Stay up-to-date with the latest hygiene technologies and methodologies, implementing innovations where appropriate




Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on hygiene performance, incidents, and audit findings
Liaise with local health authorities and external auditors as required
Respond promptly to guest feedback and concerns related to cleanliness and hygiene
Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety regulations in Seychelles
Monitor and evaluate hygiene performance metrics and key performance indicators, reporting findings to senior management
Investigate hygiene-related incidents and complaints, implementing corrective and preventative actions
Coordinate with external contractors, including pest control and specialist cleaning services, to maintain facility standards
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for hygiene staff members
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management Hygiene / Public Health, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry
Proven knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards, particularly in a luxury hotel setting
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including local requirements in Seychelles




Relevant certifications in food safety and hygiene management (e.g., HACCP)
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and hygiene management software
Thorough understanding of quality assurance and control processes
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Fluency in English, knowledge of French or Creole would be advantageous
