/p h3Descrizione del lavoro: /h3 pThe Field Service Technician position will perform electro-mechanical work in a computer-based environment, assisting and troubleshooting with engineers, while working as a team, to test, install, start-up and demonstrate BW Converting equipment,



along with training customers on the operation and maintenance of this equipment.
Field service technicians plan and perform a wide range of duties to install, demonstrate and instruct customer's employees in the operation of company produced machinery at the customer's plant.
/p h3ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: /h3 ul liWork from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures and specifications to assist with or install new machines and upgrade as required; responsible for installations of various sections and complete machines and adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation.
/li liSet up and operate machinery to produce customer's product; instruct operators in set-up and operating procedures; provide technical and practical answers to customer's questions or problems.
/li liPerform routine and/or emergency breakdown mechanical/electrical service on company equipment; determine root cause of trouble; prepare report of findings and solutions to problem.
/li liAssist installation coordinator with pre/post installation meetings and audits at customer facility and assessing manpower needs.
/li liReport quality issues and take corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
/li liAct as liaison between customer and company; maintain positive relationships with customers.
/li liPrepare and submit reports as required.
/li liProvide leadership, coaching and mentoring to less experienced personnel.
/li liWork in a team of field service team members, contractors and/or customer personnel through the project stages.




/li liCreate and sustain a safety environment that promotes a safety mindset, embraces training and adherence to safety policies and procedures, and encourages awareness and correction of safety hazards.
/li liEnsure that work areas and equipment are maintained in clean and orderly condition and all safety regulations are observed; report and correct any unsafe work practices or conditions immediately.
/li liPerform other duties as assigned.
/li /ul h3EDUCATION EXPERIENCE: /h3 ul liAn Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field is required.
/li liB.S.
degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology is preferred.
/li /ul h3KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: /h3 ul liA strong mechanical and/or electrical skill set is required to complete a variety of work in this position.
/li liKnowledge of basic web handling and industrial experience, with focus in the Paper Products, Packaging, Nonwovens or Flexographic presses is a plus.
/li liKnowledge of Giddings Lewis, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC is highly recommended, along with a background in machine process control.
PCMC uses Indramat and Rockwell servo control systems, along with advance networking communications, including Ethernet and SEROCS protocols.
/li liAbility to travel at least 50% of the time.
