Approbation Lab Manager
Fulltime: Treviso, Italy
Area of responsibility
The Approbation Laboratory Department in Treviso is looking for a Laboratory Manager. In this role you will be part of an international team and you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Coordinate technically and hierarchically laboratory team in the execution of test activities.
- Collaborate with R&D; and DQA to identify the most suitable approbation test plan.
- Keep lab updated to the state of the art of applicable standards.
- Ensure the effective and proper use of laboratory equipment by verifying calibration validity, ensuring resources for calibration and periodic verification, and supervising their correct usage.
- Evaluate the need and opportunity to update the laboratory equipment.
- Assess the training needs of laboratory personnel, prepare training schedules,
and demand the necessary resources.
- Ensure the impartiality of conducted activities, ensuring that no internal or external influences are exerted on the organization to limit the laboratory’s independence.
- Authorize laboratory personnel to perform specific tests or activities based on their level of experience and training.
- Conduct regular meetings with the team under their responsibility to discuss assigned test tasks progress, quality issues, regulatory updates, review activities, analyze any non-conformities and discuss improvement proposals.
- Define, maintain, and update the laboratory’s quality system, documentation, processes, and supporting documentation to ensure the traceability of measurements and reproducibility of results, following ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Ensure the correct application of the quality system.
- Approve test reports issued by the laboratory and the documentation of the Quality Management System
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in electronic, electrical, or physics engineering.
- Substantial experience (> 4 years) in similar laboratory testing activities; excellent knowledge of sector-specific standards or ability to effectively interact with technical experts, as well as a thorough understanding of ISO 17025, is required.
- High level of knowledge of measurement and testing methods in compliance with standards or validated methods, deep understanding and interpretation of standards, thorough knowledge of the laboratory quality management system,
experience in reporting, and strong team management skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025; organizational documentation; reporting techniques; product technical characteristics; testing techniques; measurement uncertainty; regulations; electronics; mechanics; material science; applied physics to products; quality tools; metrology and measurement instruments.
- IT Knowledge of administrative and support software (PLM; QLMS; MS Office.)
- Language: Fluent english, both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledege of product testing validation and verification process; conformity declarations for products and application softwares
- Handling of calibration equipment and interlaboratory comparisons.
- Proven experience working with international teams is required.
- Travel frequency low

Compensation Package
- Indicative gross annual salary (RAL): €60.000 – €65.000, consistent to experience and qualifications
