Descrizione dell’offerta di lavoro LDF Studio is looking for an experienced Freelance Creative Project Manager to support the development and coordination of selected projects across branding, communication, editorial, fashion and culture.
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of how an independent creative and research‑led studio operates: from the initial brief and definition of the project scope through to planning, creative development, production and final delivery.
The role requires the ability to translate creative direction into a clear and effective operational structure, while protecting the quality, timing and financial sustainability of each project.
RESPONSIBILITIES Managing multiple creative projects from briefing to final delivery
Defining project scope, deliverables, responsibilities, milestones and priorities
Translating creative direction and client discussions into clear operational plans
Creating and continuously updating project timelines, production calendars, budgets, estimates and project cash flows
Monitoring costs, margins, expenses, payment schedules and invoicing deadlines
Tracking additional client requests, revisions and changes of scope, assessing their impact on timing and budget
Planning resources and coordinating the availability and workload of internal team members, freelancers and external collaborators
Coordinating designers, researchers, strategists, photographers, developers, copywriters, producers and suppliers
Organising internal and client meetings, preparing agendas, documenting decisions and ensuring clear and timely follow‑ups
Managing feedback, approvals, dependencies and deliverables across every stage of the project
Acting as a reliable day‑to‑day point of contact for clients, partners and suppliers
Identifying organisational, financial and production risks in advance and proposing practical solutions
Preparing clear project reports and maintaining accurate, accessible and continuously updated documentation
Ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within the agreed budget and according to LDF Studio’s creative standards
PROFILE Proven experience in creative project management, preferably within an independent design, branding, communication, fashion, cultural or research‑led studio
Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
A high degree of autonomy, ownership and accountability
Ability to manage several projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously
Confidence in handling budgets, estimates, project cash flows, cost reports and invoicing schedules
Strong knowledge of project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, Notion or Airtable
Full proficiency in Apple Calendar and shared iCloud calendars, including the management of meetings, deadlines, reminders and production schedules
Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and financial tracking tools
Familiarity with creative production processes across branding, editorial, print, content production and digital projects
Ability to remain calm, clear and solution‑oriented when priorities change, or projects become complex
Sensitivity to design, visual culture, research and the creative process
Full professional proficiency in both Italian and English, written and spoken
LOCATION AND COLLABORATION The collaboration will be freelance and initially project‑based, with the possibility of developing into an ongoing relationship. The role is based in Milan and requires regular in‑person work and meetings at the studio. We are looking for someone who can become directly involved in the projects, the team and the daily life of LDF Studio. This is not a fully remote position.
SELECTION PROCESS Selected candidates may be invited to complete a short practical exercise based on a typical LDF Studio project. The exercise will assess the ability to structure a timeline, allocate resources, prepare a budget and project cash flow, organise invoicing deadlines and identify the main operational risks.
