Job Title: Intern - Development Engineer Support (preferably belonging to protected categories - art. 1 Law 68)
Location: IT
The impact you’ll make:
- Support the end-to-end creation of mechanical samples by actively contributing to design finalization and assisting in hands‑on manufacturing (e.g., 3D printing, machining), ensuring efficient and high‑quality delivery.
- Assist in developing, refining, and validating jigs and test equipment, supporting the transition from initial concepts into robust setups and supporting execution of verification testing.
- Enable accurate product and component development by supporting advanced measurements activities (including 3D scanning) and collaborating with external suppliers when specialized capabilities are required.
- Contribute to optimizing manufacturing and refurbishment processes for components and modules, learning how to select appropriate tools, equipment, and methods aligned with project needs.
- Contribute to standardizing test and measurement processes, improving consistency, reliability, and scalability across projects.
- Support the preparation and organization of high‑quality technical documentation covering mechanical and hydraulic developments, supporting knowledge sharing and traceability.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and external partners to exchange expertise, solve technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support the team in organizing activities with a structured and methodical approach, learning how to plan work effectively, monitoring progress, and maintaining alignment with timelines and budget targets.
- Support innovation by taking part in complex measurements and development challenges, proposing improvements, and contributing ideas for future product and process enhancements.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical‑focused secondary studies.
- Good understanding of 2D mechanical drawings, with familiarity in 3D modeling considered an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools with the ability to support the creation of clear and structured reports.
- Hands‑on experience or interest in additive manufacturing technologies.
- Basic familiarity with machining tools such as milling machines, drilling machines, and lathes.
- Good manual skills and a passion for prototyping and hands‑on product development.
- Basic knowledge of metrology and measurement techniques.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- A collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills and a team‑player attitude.
- Curiosity and passion for technologies that enable and accelerate product development.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn, grow, and continuously develop new skills.
