Within the Engineering Area, we are looking for a curricular intern for our Cascina Costa office.
The internship aims to support innovation and technological development activities in the field of helicopter transmissions, through the implementation of methodologies and processes dedicated to the design of components made using Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) technologies.
Training objectives:
to develop technical-specialist knowledge related to additive manufacturing technologies applied to aeronautical transmission systems, deepening the design, validation and industrialization methodologies of innovative components intended for helicopter applications.
Activities:
- Analysis of design requirements and identification of transmission components most suitable for the application of ALM technologies.
- Development of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) methodologies aimed at geometric and functional optimization of components.
- Execution of structural lightening studies using topological optimization tools and comparison with traditional solutions.
- Support for the definition of the technical validation process of components made with additive technology, including dimensional and structural checks.
- Analysis of the characteristics of materials usable in ALM processes and evaluation of their applicability to helicopter transmission systems.
- Elaboration of business cases and technical-economic evaluations for the introduction of additive components in future aeronautical programs.
- Support for the standardization activities of design methodologies and development flows associated with Additive Manufacturing technologies.
Required skills:
- Ongoing degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering.
- Seniority: student.
- Proactivity and willingness to learn.
- Interest in additive technologies, mechanical design and innovation in the aeronautical sector.
- English level: B1/B2.

How does the selection process work?
Following the collection of applications, CVs most in line with the required requirements are evaluated and identified.
