Asian Women Resource Centre AWRC

Italia

The AWRC (Asian Women’s Resource Centre ) is a feminist organization whose values are founded on commitments to human rights, anti-discrimination and freedom from oppression. We endorse global evidence that violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence is gendered, a cause and consequence of the unequal position of women and girls in society, a violation of human rights, and is entirely preventable.

Salary: £38,000–£41,000 per annum, subject to increase in accordance with our pay structure

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term until March 2030, subject to extension

Location: London / Hybrid working – minimum 2 days per week in the office

Line Reports: 4 to 6

We are looking for an experienced and values-driven Contracts Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across AWRC’s Ascent Ending Harmful Practices partnership and oversee delivery of our Ascent Advice & Information project.

This is a varied and influential role combining contract and partnership management, performance monitoring, safeguarding, quality assurance, financial oversight, staff management and service development.

You will work closely with Ascent partners, commissioners, statutory agencies and voluntary and community organisations to ensure services are high quality, survivor-centred, culturally competent and delivered in line with contractual requirements, agreed outcomes and performance standards.

About you

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

- A minimum of three years' experience managing or coordinating services, contracts, programmes or projects within VAWG, domestic abuse, sexual violence, advice, safeguarding or a related voluntary-sector setting.
- Experience managing contracts, grants or commissioned services, including monitoring outcomes, targets and KPIs.
- Experience analysing service performance and producing reports for funders, commissioners, senior leaders or governance structures.

- Experience working effectively with commissioners, statutory agencies, funders and voluntary and community-sector partners.
- Experience of budget and financial monitoring.
- Experience managing safeguarding and risk within a VAWG, domestic abuse or related environment.
- Strong line-management, supervision and staff-development experience.
- Experience of commissioning, tendering, contract negotiation or service development.

You will also bring excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills, with the confidence to interpret performance and financial information, manage competing priorities, influence stakeholders and exercise sound professional judgement.

Why Join Us?

At AWRC, you will be part of a passionate, supportive, and mission-driven team. We offer:

- Hybrid working (2 days in office)
- Commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development
- A collaborative environment grounded in feminist and anti-racist principles
- Opportunities to contribute to campaigns, events, and community change

It is essential to the development of AWRC’s service delivery that the post holder is able to respond flexibly to changes in the requirements of this post. This job description is therefore a guide and not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities the post holder may have over time.

This post is open to women only (Exemption under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010).

We particularly encourage applications from Black and minoritized women, LGBTQ+ women, women with disabilities, and those with lived experience of the issues AWRC addresses.

Application Deadline: 13th September 2026 at 5 pm

Interviews: W/C 21st September 2026

NOTE: Interviews will be conducted face to face and a task will be involved as part of the process. We are running rolling recruitment and may close the role early if a suitable candidate is found.

If you require any reasonable adjustments please get in touch with us at [email protected].
