Mission the junior marine surveyor contributes to maritime safety and compliance by applying knowledge of rules, regulations and industry principles.
key accountabilities
- conduct routine surveys and inspections of classed ships, platforms and marine structures to verify compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
- prepare accurate and timely inspection and survey reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
- maintain survey files and documentation in an orderly and up‑to‑date manner.
- stay informed about new regulations, technical developments and industry practices.
- identify technical issues during surveys and propose appropriate solutions, seeking guidance from senior surveyors when needed.
- collaborate with surveyors,
senior surveyors and principal surveyors and interact with clients as directed.
- participate in training programmes and professional development activities.
education & requirements
- master’s degree in naval engineering or related field.
- proficiency in italian and english.
- basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices, engineering plans and marine systems.
- ability to perform new‑building and in‑service surveys under supervision.
- up to 2years of relevant experience or recent graduate.
compensation gross annual salary €31000 – €38000, plus variable component and company welfare.
