We are looking for an experienced OT / Cybersecurity Engineer to support a long-term cybersecurity project focused on secure infrastructure, OT environments, and IT/OT integration.

- Location: Frascati, Italy
- Working model: On-site
- Commitment: Approx. 10 days per month
- Daily rate: €300/day
- Contract: Freelance / Italian VAT number (Partita IVA)

Language requirement: Professional proficiency in English is required

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain cybersecurity protocols for facility and infrastructure systems
- Monitor and analyse network security and performance
- Implement and maintain secure communication infrastructures and segregated network architectures
- Support secure integration of OT systems with corporate IT networks, including BMS, Access Control Systems and IoT environments
- Conduct and support cybersecurity risk assessments and security audits
- Support incident response planning, analysis and investigations
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory cybersecurity requirements
- Support deployment and documentation of OT-specific cyber defence solutions




- Contribute to cybersecurity awareness and cyber hygiene initiatives
- Support security configuration of cloud-connected environments
- Maintain security documentation, network diagrams and system configurations

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in:

- OT / ICS Cybersecurity
- IT/OT network integration
- Network security and network segmentation
- Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, ACLs and secure remote access
- BMS, ICS, SCADA, IoT or Building Automation environments
- Cybersecurity monitoring and incident response
- Vulnerability and risk assessment
- Security architecture and technical documentation

Knowledge of standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, ISO 27001 or NIST Cybersecurity Framework would be a strong advantage.

Experience gained in sectors such as critical infrastructure, energy, utilities, manufacturing, defence, data centres, airports or building automation would be particularly relevant.
