Report to: Store Manager
Job purpose: As Assistant Store Manager, you are passionate about the world of beauty and cosmetics and ready to become the custodian of the brand's valuable heritage and legacy, sharing the vision, values, and mission with your team and customers.
You will assist the Store Manager in leading, developing, and directing the sales, operations, and security teams to meet or exceed sales targets, all while improving the overall store experience.
You ensure exceptional client experience by actively engaging on the sales floor and leading by example, always prioritizing the client.
You are an empowering and inspiring leader who motivates the team to reach business objectives, ensuring that each team member's skills are optimized and cultivated.
You are responsible for managing all operational activities in your Store, making sure company policies and procedures are proactively enforced, and ensuring adherence to corporate standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving the Business
- Assist the Store Manager in developing business strategies to exceed financial targets and enhance sales performance, contributing to the overall success of the store.
- Guide the Store team in creating actionable plans to exceed their KPI targets, focusing on cross-selling and up-selling across product categories.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities, and share relevant insights with other departments.
- Act as a brand ambassador by representing the company in the local market through activities and key events, while also ensuring a professional approach and exceptional service to clients on the sales floor.
- Enhance product knowledge on the sales floor and collaborate with relevant teams to address training needs for product information and new launches.
Team Management
- Be a key motivator for the team, encouraging team working through clear communication and fostering a positive, energetic atmosphere.
- Actively participate in the recruitment process, including market mapping, defining profiles, and conducting interviews, in collaboration with or as delegated by the Store Manager.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to identify potential talents within the team for internal development opportunities, ensuring the establishment of the right development processes.
- Provide training to all new employees on company policies and procedures.
- Work alongside the Store Manager to ensure efficient team organization, aligning with business needs, and appropriately delegating responsibilities.
- Lead by example to guarantee the team consistently demonstrates the highest care and respect for the product, visible in every action and procedure.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to identify and support training needs for product knowledge and new launches.
Client Development
- Put the client first, setting an example by fostering a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring the team is committed to meeting their every need and request;
- Cultivate a client-centric mindset by building and nurturing strong client relationships while ensuring meaningful after-sales experiences;
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and top-tier service by consistently upholding the Client Experience Foundation;
- Actively propose opportunities to the Store Manager for acquiring new Client.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to establish targeted clienteling initiatives aimed at enhancing client loyalty.
Store Management
- Work alongside the Store Manager to ensure the display is visually appealing to clients and optimizes sales, following company guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to provide feedback and recommendations to the Visual Merchandising departments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures regarding cash handling, inventory management, logistics, and all key reporting activities.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure the effective and efficient management of the company's assets.
- Ensure that staff grooming meets company standards.
- Foster collaboration and coordination between the front and back of house.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure the store adheres to inventory control requirements and efficiently organizes all activities related to the fiscal stock inventory.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or a comparable position.
- At least 5 years of experience like assistant store manager in luxury / beauty / fashion field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to lead and make effective decisions
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting and coordinate multiple duties.
- Exceptional talent for encouraging and guiding teams to grow
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising
- Experience with the selling ceremony and the client journey
- Client-oriented mentality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software
- Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of additional language could be a plus The base salary range for this position is 40.000€ - 45.000€ based on experience and profile.
