The Translational Biomarkers group is searching for a junior scientist trainee. Qualifications: - Degree in biological sciences (e.g. biology, biotechnology)
- +2 year experience in laboratory environment
- Working knowledge in cell biology and biochemistry
- Good competencies of in vitro biology laboratory work (i.e. pipette handling, multiwell plate format etc.) (mandatory)
- Previous cell/tissue culture experience (cell lines or primary cultures)
- Useful hands-on knowledge includes Western Blot, immunoassays and flow cytometry
- High motivation
- Flexibility
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn Duties are related to the field of study and will vary depending upon the project and assigned responsibilities. As a trainee, you will gain experience by working with higher graded scientist. The trainee will be involved in biomarker activities in the drug discovery process, including development of _in vitro/ex vivo_ assays for mechanistic studies and/or compound profiling, and their applicability in pharmacodynamics studies for correlation with pharmacokinetic data. Main techniques will be immunoassays and flow cytometry starting from cultured cells or tissues.
