Supervise production workers during shift in manufacturing, labeling and packaging of food and feed products according to production demands/schedules and specifications. /p h3ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: /h3 ul liLead a safety and quality focused production environment to produce food and feed products that meet customer specifications.
/li liCorrect any problems that arise and report it to the manager as needed /li liAbility to read and understand a manufacturing formula sheet /li liResponsible for operator accuracy of BPR, paperwork, labeling, tool checklists, kanban, all forms, record keeping material /li liSupervise the operators, blenders and baggers on your shift, and effectively communicate production turn over /li liTrain/supervise production workers in all aspects of the equipment operations /li liAssure that Manufacturing, Training, Cleaning, Safety, Quality, and other procedures are being strictly adhered to /li liOperate mechanical equipment safely and efficiently /li liContinually gain in depth knowledge of facility equipment /li liCorrect any problems that arise /li liKeep Management and other supervisors informed of changing conditions /li liResponsible for checking all forms and record keeping material /li liWork with maintenance personnel to address equipment needs and coordinate those needs with production scheduling /li liInvolved in troubleshooting situations and development of corrective action plans /li liProvide suggestions for continual improvement, applications of lean processing, and aid in following through and implementation /li liUnderstand, comply with, and enforce safety regulations /li liMaintain and assist others in OSHA, Kosher, GMP, ISO, LOTO, CSE,
and QS plant requirements /li liMaintain operations in such a manner as to continuously produce quality products in a safe and efficient manner /li liCoach employees in a teamwork environment for continuous improvement /li liPerform duties of plant sanitation supervisor /li liDiscipline employees when policies are not adhered to (attendance, punctuality, performance, etc.) /li liResponsible for self-involvement, team involvement and execution of tasks relative to achieving annual departmental goals /li /ul h3REQUIREMENTS: /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred and a minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with supervisory experience /li liMust be responsible; maintain a positive work attitude, safety minded, quality minded, management supportive, and company oriented /li liGood communication skills, high math and reading skills, high mechanical ability /li liAble to wear a respirator /li liWillingness to work a compressed schedule (e.g. 12-hour shifts) /li liAble to stand and walk during 12-hour shifts in varying weather conditions /li liWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite /li liSpecialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Basic knowledge of Pumps (diaphragm, centrifugal, etc.), HMI use, valves, reactors, dryers, and other equipment typical in a chemical plant (additional training may be mandated) /li /ul p#IN /p pBalchem is committed to a workplace culture that values and promotes diversity, inclusion, equal employment opportunities, and a work environment free of harassment and hostility. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
