As a Buyer, you are the person who makes that happen - turning needs into the right suppliers, the right terms, and the right outcomes. It is a role where sharp commercial judgement, strong relationships, and a structured way of working translate directly into value for the business.
The role
As a Buyer at Yokogawa Italia, you own the full purchasing cycle for goods and services - from identifying the need and selecting the supplier through to payment and record-keeping - always within established procedures. You manage contracts, scout and onboard new suppliers, and support the sales team with cost-aware sourcing decisions grounded in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles.
You work closely with internal stakeholders and international suppliers, and you bring a sustainability mindset to procurement - integrating environmental, social and economic considerations into long-term, value-driven supply chain decisions. This is a role for someone early in their procurement career who wants to build real depth in a global, multicultural industrial company.
What you’ll do
Buying & contract management
Perform buying tasks for goods and services - from need identification and supplier selection through to delivery and record-keeping - ensuring compliance with established procedures
Manage contracts end to end, ensuring all contract conditions are met by the supplier
Sourcing & supplier onboarding
Scout potential new suppliers and take part in the onboarding process and supplier audits
Build and maintain supplier relationships and quality standards in line with agreed expectations
Budgeting & cost optimization
Support sales in aligning quotations and selecting suitable suppliers according to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles
Estimate costs of goods and services to evaluate the accuracy of supplier quotations
Compliance & sustainable procurement
Carry out every task in line with the organization’s policies, procedures, regulatory codes and company codes of conduct
Apply procurement practices that integrate environmental, social and economic considerations - supporting ethical, sustainable, long-term value-driven decisions
Personal capability building
Develop and maintain strong procedural and technical skills through assessment, development planning, and formal and informal training and coaching
What you bring
You have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar Buyer or procurement role, ideally for companies operating in a comparable market. You hold a high school diploma, bachelor’s or master’s degree, and you are ready to grow your expertise in a structured, international environment. You speak English Fluently and preferably Conversational level or > in Spanish.

end-to-end procurement tools covering sourcing, vendor evaluation, purchase order creation (SAP) and supplier management, plus standard office software
Data Collection & Analysis -
gather and analyze data to support sound supplier selection
Supplier Management -
manage contractual terms, relationships and quality standards with suppliers and vendors
