Legga tutte le informazioni associate e invii la sua candidatura. brPLC / Automation Engineer – Siemens TIA Portal brLocation: Italy brContract Length: 3–6 months brStart: ASAP brWorking Pattern: 3-shift rotation brIndicative Rate: Approx. 60/hour brAccommodation: Provided / paid for brTravel: Flights / travel costs covered brThe Opportunity brWe are looking for PLC / Automation Engineers for a hands-on industrial automation troubleshooting project in Italy . brThe main technical requirement is strong experience with Siemens PLC systems and TIA Portal , with some additional exposure to Omron PLCs considered beneficial. brThe assignment is focused on supporting a live production environment where there are ongoing automation and production issues. Engineers will be expected to investigate faults, analyse PLC logic, identify root causes and provide clear recommendations and corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and production performance. brThis is not primarily a greenfield PLC programming role. The emphasis is on fault finding, diagnostics, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and production support . brThe initial assignment is expected to run for 3–6 months , with engineers working fully onsite as part of a rotating three-shift schedule. brKey Responsibilities brThe successful engineers will be responsible for: brTroubleshooting Siemens PLC-controlled production equipment brWorking extensively with Siemens TIA Portal brGoing online with PLCs to diagnose faults and production issues brAnalysing existing PLC logic, sequences and interlocks brInvestigating recurring production stoppages and equipment downtime brIdentifying whether faults originate from PLC software, electrical systems, sensors, drives, instrumentation, communications or mechanical equipment brSupporting troubleshooting of automated machinery and production lines brIdentifying bottlenecks,
intermittent faults and reliability issues brCarrying out root-cause analysis brRecommending corrective actions and technical improvements brProducing clear action lists outlining issues, priorities and recommended solutions brSupporting implementation and testing of corrective actions where required brWorking closely with production, maintenance and engineering personnel brDocumenting technical findings and any software modifications made brThe key requirement is the ability to systematically diagnose why automated equipment is not performing correctly and determine the most effective solution . brShift Pattern brThe assignment will operate across a three-shift rotation : brMorning: 06:00–15:00brAfternoon: 14:00–22:00brNight: 21:00–06:00brCandidates must be comfortable working across the rotating shift pattern for the duration of the assignment. brTechnical Background brStrong hands-on experience with the following is highly desirable: brSiemens TIA Portal brSiemens S7 PLCs brS7-1200 / S7-1500brPLC diagnostics and online troubleshooting brLadder Logic, FBD and/or Structured Text / SCL brSiemens HMI systems brWinCC / HMI troubleshooting brIndustrial Ethernet / Profinet brDrives and motor control brSensors, actuators and field devices brAutomated machinery and production lines brElectrical fault finding brMachine sequencing and interlocks brMachine commissioning and start-up brProduction troubleshooting brRoot-cause analysis brExperience with Omron PLC systems , such as Sysmac Studio or CX-Programmer , would be useful but is not the primary requirement . brExperience with other platforms such as Rockwell / Allen-Bradley,
Beckhoff or Mitsubishi may also be beneficial. brCandidate Profile brWe are primarily interested in mid-level / medior Automation Engineers rather than senior-level consultants. brIdeally, you will have: br~2+ years of hands-on PLC / automation experience br~ Strong practical experience with Siemens TIA Portal br~ Previous experience troubleshooting automated production equipment br~ Ability to go online with Siemens PLCs and diagnose live production faults br~ Ability to read and understand existing PLC code br~ Strong fault-finding and root-cause analysis skills br~ Understanding of electrical drawings and automation hardware br~ Experience working within live manufacturing or production environments br~ Ability to distinguish between software, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical faults br~ Experience working directly with maintenance and production teams br~ Ability to work independently and communicate findings clearly br~ A practical, hands-on problem-solving approach br~ Willingness to work a three-shift rotation br~ Availability to work fully onsite in Italy for 3–6 months brThis position would be particularly suitable for an engineer with a few years of strong Siemens automation experience who enjoys troubleshooting and resolving real production issues rather than focusing solely on software development. xrdbqlu brContract Package br~3–6 month contract br~ Approx. €60-65/hour br~ Accommodation paid for br~ Flights / travel costs covered br~ Full-time onsite assignment in Italy br~ Three-shift rotation br~ ASAP start brApplication brWhen applying, please provide: brYour earliest available start date brYour required hourly rate brDetails of your Siemens TIA Portal experience brDetails of your experience troubleshooting live production / manufacturing equipment brAny experience with Omron PLC systems brConfirmation that you are comfortable working a three-shift rotation in Italy
