Role OverviewThe Senior Accountant plays a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting strategic financial decision-making and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. This role is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, overseeing month-end and year-end close processes, leading reconciliations, and supporting internal and external audits. The Senior Accountant also acts as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams on financial matters and contributes to continuous process improvement within the finance function.Key accountabilitiesLead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reportingReview and approve journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustmentsOversee fixed asset accounting, including asset creation, depreciation, and reconciliationManage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactivelySupport the preparation of management and statutory financial reportsCollaborate with external auditors, providing documentation and responding to audit queriesEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policiesSupport tax-related reporting,



including indirect tax reconciliations and documentationAssist with budget monitoring and variance analysis in collaboration with finance leadershipContribute to system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial controlProvide guidance and mentorship to junior team membersPreferred qualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldProfessional accounting qualification (e.G., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or working towards oneExperience5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting rolesStrong understanding of accounting standards (e.G., IFRS or equivalent)Experience preparing or reviewing financial statementsProficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsProven ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and handle complexityExperience supporting or leading audits is desirableStrong interpersonal and communication skillsLanguage Proficiency:Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C1+)For Italy based roles: fluent in Italian (CEFR C1+), French is a plusWhat we offerHybrid working modelPermanent ContractSalary range: RAL 37.000,00 - 46.000,00.The final salary will be determined on the basis of the selected candidate's qualifications and professional experience.
