We are building the Verkko Platform: a sovereign, edge-first infrastructure that allows organizations to deploy autonomous agents that handle complex, multi-step digital tasks without human intervention. We are not building LLM wrappers or chatbots. We are integrating our proprietary strong Voltaic /strong spiking intelligence engine into a robust digital execution layer. /pp This role is about building the strong digital nervous system /strong of Verkko. You will ensure the Voltaic engine is seamlessly integrated into our API, workflow orchestration, and data pipelines, enabling efficient, low-cost, and persistent digital automation. /p pstrong Key Responsibilities (Next 9 Months: Digital Focus) /strong /p pstrong1. Digital Automation Orchestration (Primary) /strong /pp· strong Workflow Engine: /strong Develop and optimize the orchestration layer that translates high-level goals into executable digital tasks (API calls, data processing, content generation, internal tool usage). /pp· strong Integration Layer: /strong Build robust connectors to enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, Communication tools). The intelligence (Voltaic) makes decisions; your code executes them reliably. /pp· strong State Management: /strong Implement the stateful memory interface for digital agents. Ensure the agent’s "Living Memory" (HSC v2) is correctly updated and retrieved during multi-step digital workflows. /pp· strong Reliability Safety: /strong Build guardrails and verification loops that ensure digital automations are accurate. We rely on high-quality rationales and automated verification, not "Human-in-the-Loop" for basic checks. /p pstrong2. Voltaic Engine Integration (Secondary) /strong /pp· strong Inference Pipeline:



/strong Manage the deployment of the Voltaic spiking model for digital tasks. Optimize for latency and cost, ensuring the model runs efficiently on our cloud/edge hybrid infrastructure. /pp· strong Continuous Learning Loop: /strong Implement feedback mechanisms that allow the digital agent to learn from successful and failed automated tasks. This is where the "non-forgetting" architecture shines in a digital context. /pp· strong Drift Monitoring: /strong Monitor the accuracy of the agent’s decisions over time. Ensure ContextFlow retrieval remains relevant as the digital environment changes. /p pstrong The Trajectory: Beyond 9 Months (Physical AI) /strong /pp This is critical for the right candidate. /pp While the next 9 months are focused on proving the model in the digital realm, Verkko’s long-term trajectory is strong Physical AI and Robotics /strong . The digital platform you are building now is the strong core engine /strong that will eventually be deployed into physical robotic bodies. /p pstrong Why your current work matters for the future: /strong /pp· strong Orchestration is Universal: /strong The logic you build to orchestrate digital tasks (APIs, data flows) is the same logic required to orchestrate physical actions (servo control, sensor input, motor output). /pp· strong Persistent Memory is Critical: /strong In digital automation, memory allows an agent to remember past workflows. In robotics, it allows a machine to remember physical environments, obstacles, and operational constraints without resetting. /pp· strong Edge-First Efficiency: /strong We are optimizing Voltaic for low latency and low power now because these are non-negotiable constraints for battery-powered robots later. /pp By joining now, you are not just building a digital tool. The skills you develop in orchestration, memory management, and efficient inference during this digital phase will directly translate to the physical layer in 12–18 months. /p pstrong Requirements /strong /ppstrong Must-Haves: /strong /pp· strong Strong Backend Engineering: /strong Expert-level proficiency in strong Python /strong or strong Go /strong . You must be comfortable building high-throughput, reliable backend services. /pp· strong API Integration Experience: /strong Proven experience building and consuming complex APIs, handling webhooks, and integrating with third-party SaaS platforms. /pp· strong Understanding of Agent Systems: /strong Experience with AI models in a production environment. You must understand that strong context, memory, and state /strong are more important than raw token generation. /pp· strong Systems Thinking: /strong You understand that "AI" is just the brain. The value is in the execution layer. You care about idempotency, error handling, and state consistency. /p pstrong Nice-to-Haves: /strong /pp·strong Edge/Embedded Experience: /strong Familiarity with deploying models on constrained hardware (ARM, NVIDIA Jetson). This is a strong plus for the long-term robotics trajectory, even if not strictly required for the digital phase. /pp· strong Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs): /strong Familiarity with SNN frameworks or spiking dynamics. /pp· strong Vector Databases/Knowledge Graphs: /strong Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) at an architectural level. /p pstrong What We Are NOT Looking For /strong /pp· strong LLM Wrappers: /strong If your experience is purely in building chat interfaces or simple RAG pipelines, this is not the role. /pp· strong Cloud-Only LLM Optimizers: /strong We are not tuning prompts for a GPT-4 wrapper.
