The Junior Sommelier helps the restaurant team to ensure the best Guests’ experience is provided through a flawless service. Accountable for the effective management of the Sommellerie of the hotel. We expect personalised interaction with our Guests in order to deliver them the best culinary experience, whilst recommending and up-selling wines to pair with their meals.
Reports to: Maitre. **Main duties & responsibilities**: - Support in preparing the wine lists, purchase orders, inventory and requisitions;
- Assist the F&B; Manager in monitoring stock levels and sales and suggest actions to improve sales;
- Cooperate with F&B; Manager to develop special events about wine for our Guests;
- Providing an excellent and personalized Guest experience according to our service standards and procedures while leading and coordinating the team;
- Maintain a professional relationship with Guests and colleagues;
- Anticipate Guests needs and handle guest complaints;
- Keep the wine canteen clean and updated;
- Support in drafting monthly inventory of wine and all related beverage.
- Support the Restaurant team in order to deliver the service. **Competencies required**: - Collaboration: Be able and willing to work as a team within the department and with other departments. Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and diversity,
