Role Description The Freelance Luxury Shoe Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end production process for high-end footwear collections, ensuring they meet the brand’s quality, design, and timing requirements. This contract role is based on-site in London and involves close collaboration with design, development, and supplier teams to translate sketches and technical specifications into production-ready samples and final products. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing factory relationships, overseeing sample development, coordinating materials and components, monitoring production timelines, and resolving any issues that affect quality or delivery. The Production Manager will implement quality control standards, conduct on-site inspections, and ensure each style aligns with couture-level craftsmanship. The role also includes cost and margin monitoring,



production scheduling, and regular reporting to leadership on progress, risks, and improvements. Open to roles in UK, Itay, France. Must have luxury footwear expereince.

Qualifications

- Experience in luxury footwear or fashion production management, including sample development, sourcing, and factory coordination.
- Strong knowledge of shoe construction, materials (leathers, exotic skins, hardware), and manufacturing techniques for high-end products.
- Proven ability to manage production timelines, capacity planning, and delivery schedules while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Skills in quality control, technical specification review, and problem-solving for fit, comfort, and durability issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with designers, technicians, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple styles and collections simultaneously.
- Comfort working on-site in London, with flexibility to visit factories, workshops, and suppliers as needed.
- Previous experience with luxury or couture brands and an understanding of premium market expectations is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in production-related documentation and basic digital tools (e.G., spreadsheets, production trackers, PLM or similar systems).
- Relevant education in fashion production, footwear design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
