We are looking for an experiencedSenior Materials & Welding Engineerto join an international engineering team working on a complex project.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials engineering, corrosion management and fabrication, with solid experience in theoil & gas / offshore industryand the ability to coordinate technical activities across multiple disciplines and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and reviewmaterial selection strategies and technical specificationsfor pipelines, fittings, subsea structures, flanges and CRA materials.
Define requirements related tocorrosion allowance, pressure and temperature classesand material compatibility.
Develop and reviewinternal and external corrosion protection strategies, including cathodic protection, coating systems and corrosion inhibitors.
Review corrosion assessments, CP calculations, anode systems and coating specifications.
Supportwelding engineering and fabrication activities, including WPS/PQR reviews, welder qualifications, weld overlay/cladding, heat treatment and NDT requirements.
Define and reviewpipeline coating and field joint protection systems, including qualification testing and mechanical protection solutions.
Contribute topipeline integrity and technical assurance activities, including fracture toughness, sour service, fatigue, material traceability and failure investigations.
Participate in technical reviews, audits and the resolution ofNCRs and quality-related issues.
Manage technical interfaces withpipeline, structural, fabrication and installation teams.




Supportvendor qualification and manufacturing surveillance, including line pipe mills, CRA suppliers, bending facilities and coating plants.
Participate in FATs, mill testing and coating qualification activities.
Monitor compliance withITPs, QCPs, QA/QC requirements and technical documentation.
Requirements
Bachelors degree inMaterials, Metallurgical, Mechanical or Corrosion Engineering.
At least12 years of relevant experiencein materials engineering within theoffshore/subsea or oil & gas industry.
Proven experience withline pipe manufacturing, coating facilities and offshore field joint coating.
Strong knowledge ofmetallurgy, particularly carbon steel, alloy steel, duplex and super duplex materials.
Solid expertise ininternal/external corrosion and cathodic protection.
Experience with offshore coating and insulation systems such asFBE, 3LPE and polypropylene systems.
Good knowledge ofwelding metallurgy, HAZ control and NDT techniques.
Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and technical documentation.
Excellent technical communication and stakeholder management skills.
Previous experience working with international vendors,



fabrication yards and multidisciplinary engineering teams is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is€65,000 to €95,000 gross per year.
The position is governed by theItalian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for Commerce and Tertiary Servicesapplied by our company.
Placement within the salary range will be determined based on technical skills, relevant experience in the role, and the outcome of the selection process, according to objective and neutral criteria.
In the case of candidates with exceptional qualifications or experience exceeding the requirements of the indicated range, a review of the salary package may be considered, subject to internal approval.
